Flooring Properties
Patagonian Rosewood is a highly figured wood with pale pink and yellow tones which are sharply distinguished from its dark brown shades and occasional black streaking. Patagonian Rosewood hardwood flooring also has astonishing durability. It is among the very hardest wood species, which makes the Patagonian Rosewood floors particularly resilient against wear and tear and impacts. This attribute does have the unfortunate result of making the wood difficult to work. This species severely blunts the cutting edges of tools. Patagonian Rosewood is not particularly photosensitive, and will darken over a prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Janka rating
Patagonian Rosewood has an impressive hardness rating of 3840.
