What are imbedded art objects?

Are they expensive?

Embedded art objects are pieces of anything, used as part of your flooring. They can be in a design or pattern, or just random. Usually, Concrete floors are where people place embedded art objects. They can be broken up ceramic tiles placed in a mosaic design (mosaics are recognizable patterns or shapes or designs that use the same colored pieces of small, randomly broken tiles to form them). Embedded art objects can be colored glass in either ragged pieces or glass "marbles". Shells have also been used for a nice flooring design in a beach cottage or similar. When you have embedded art objects in your floor, the surface should be sealed or else some of the objects could get broken when people walk on them, or alternately -- people 's feet may get cut. Embedded art objects can really consist of almost anything that you may collect, or that may remind you of a special time or place in your life. They could be found things from a beach, or coins, or even small antique metal items that you have collected over the years.

What About the Design?

In reality, designs can be whatever you want to put in there. An artist can also create a design for you in the flooring, if you feel you don't have a talent for it. In an outside patio floor, for instance, you may create a mosaic of Ceramic Tiles design that looks Roman or Greek in origin. An inlaid mosaic or use of other embedded art objects in a foyer floor looks fantastic and very custom. Embedded art objects can be used to create a border, or even a countertop. If you are worried about wear or comfort of people walking over your floor, then a design can be off centered or in a nook or niche or small room floor.

Why Use Them?

Embedded art objects are used when you want to remember an event, or put a few of your souvenirs where others will always see them, or where you just want to have a unique spot in your home, in one floor or corner. Sometimes, people have used embedded art objects to create a pathway in their home -- one path in the floor leading into another room, and then on to another. These embedded art objects are a way to draw attention or focus to an area. They are a way to show your unique talent (or have a professional use your objects to show your collection off). Embedded art objects have been used in floors for centuries. They may differ from civilization to civilization. To their owners, they are a way to showcase how they feel. Our home should reflect a lot of ourselves. If you have the urge to try this on one of your floors, you should go for it.
