Vinyl is the second most popular flooring option available on the market today. It is made of what is known as polyvinyl chloride, also known as PVC. It has a variety of uses including house siding, piping, clothing, toys and much more. Its main draw is the fact that it is cheap and durable, making it a prime candidate for flooring. It was first founded in 1926 though its versatility wasn't truly discovered until the early 1960's, and today it comes in many different colors, shapes, sizes and patterns, which helps it to fit any home decorator's designs.

Vinyl flooring used to come in only 12 and 18 foot rolls or 12 and 18 inch tiles; today, however, the manufacturing of vinyl has changed drastically to fit the demands of consumers. Perhaps its main allure is the fact that it can be turned into strips of different wood look-alikes, such as bamboo and hardwood, offering a much cheaper, much more durable alternative to expensive hardwood flooring options that are currently on the market.Garage Floor Covering
